Assembly Elections 2026 Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to undertake a series of public engagements in West Bengal on Sunday as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ongoing campaign outreach in the poll-bound state.
According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will begin his day with a Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Bangaon at around 1:45 pm. He will then visit the Matua Thakur temple for darshan and pujan at 2:00 pm.
Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to address another Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Arambagh at 3:30 pm. He will also visit the Thanthania Kalibari temple in Kolkata for darshan at 5:15 pm.
The day will conclude with a roadshow in Kolkata at around 5:30 pm, expected to draw large crowds as the BJP intensifies its campaign efforts in the state.
Meanwhile, referencing to PM Modi’s recent ‘jhalmuri break’ he took while he was rallying for the BJP in West Bengal’s Jhalgram, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said that soon PM will get to taste ‘jhal’ (spicy taste) after the declaration of the elections results on May 4.

West Bengal Elections 2026 Live Updates: JP Nadda To Lead Roadshows In Bardhaman, Kolkata
JP Nadda will begin the day with a Mann Ki Baat event at 11:00 am at RJ Hotel in Bardhaman. Later, he will lead a roadshow in the Bhatar Paschim Assembly constituency at 3:00 pm, covering a route from Fire Brigade Chauraha to Bhatar Public School in Purba Bardhaman.
In the evening, the BJP leader will hold another roadshow in the Behala Paschim Assembly constituency at 6:00 pm, passing through areas from Shibtala to Rayer Park in Kolkata South.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to hold multiple public engagements in West Bengal on Sunday. Shah will address his first public meeting in Tehatta (Nadia) at around 3:15 pm, followed by another rally in the Ranaghat South Assembly constituency at 4:30 pm. Later in the evening, he will lead a roadshow in the Barasat Assembly constituency at 7:30 pm.
