Assistant engineer arrested while taking ₹50,000 bribe in Karimnagar

An assistant engineer with the Municipal Administration department in Huzurabad municipality was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 in Karimnagar district on Wednesday (April 15).

The accused, identified as Nusum Sudhakar Reddy, was trapped by the ACB Karimnagar unit at RTC Depot Chowrastha in Huzurabad when he demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant. The amount was sought to record entries in the Measurement Book and process the final bill related to stormwater drain works executed within municipal limits.
