AAP leader Atishi accuses Raghav Chadha of fearing BJP and Modi, skipping impeachment move and protests.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Monday took a swipe at Raghav Chadha, who was removed from the party’s deputy leader of Rajya Sabha post on Thursday, and said that he was afraid of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Atishi also questioned why Chadha refused to sign an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner brought by the Trinamool Congress.
“The country is facing a threat and democracy is under attack. The way votes were allegedly cut in Delhi, fake votes were created by BJP workers, and the administration was misused, the BJP hijacked the Delhi election. In the same way, it is being claimed that the West Bengal election is also being hijacked in front of everyone. However, when the TMC brings an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner, Raghav Chadha refuses to sign it," said Atishi.
“When the entire opposition walks out against the alleged attacks on democracy and Modi’s victory, he refuses to participate in the walkout…When there is a crisis of LPG cylinders in the country, with common people standing in long queues and buying cylinders in black, and the party asks him to raise his voice in Parliament, he refuses. It is therefore being said that Raghav Chadha is afraid of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi, and is no longer ready to raise his voice against them," she added.

Her remarks came in response to a post made by Chadha from his X handle on Friday. In a video statement, he said that his silence in Parliament should not be mistaken for defeat.
He also asked why he was being stopped from speaking in Parliament.
“Whenever I get a chance to speak in the Parliament, I raise public issues. And perhaps I raise topics that are not usually raised in the Parliament. But is raising public issues a crime? Have I committed a crime? Have I made a mistake? Have I done something wrong?," asked Chadha.
“AAP has told the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that Raghav Chadha should be stopped from speaking in the Parliament. Yes, the AAP has informed the Parliament that Raghav Chadda should not be given a chance to speak in the Parliament," he added.
