Atrocities against women in U.P. reached peak under BJP rule, says Priyanka Gandhi

Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged on Saturday (April 25, 2026) that atrocities against women in Uttar Pradesh have reached their peak under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule, and it has become an unspoken rule that whenever a woman is subjected to atrocities, the victim’s family is further harassed.

Ms. Vadra was reacting to the murder of a girl in Ghazipur, which has led to an uproar and protests.
