Avinn Tyagi: Acting wasn’t my first dream, it happened by chance

Actor, known for Yeh Hai Chahatein, is stepping into a new phase of his career with a parallel lead role in Hui Gumm Yaadein - Ek Doctor Do Zindagiyaan.Talking about his character, Dr Abeer Chabaria, he says, “He is very fun-loving.

He works seriously but keeps the environment light. He makes people laugh, flirts, and spreads positivity, but at the same time, he is disciplined and a very focused doctor.

”He adds that his character balances professionalism with warmth. “He respects his seniors, especially Dev sir, but also believes work can be done in a more relaxed and happy way.”However, for Avinn, the bigger story is how he found acting itself.

“Acting was never my first dream. I wanted to become a cricketer. I played at the under-14 level, but due to circumstances, I had to quit,” he shares.A chance moment in college changed everything. “There was an audition, but I didn’t want to go. My friend insisted I accompany him. I used to watch Sunil Grover as Mashoor Gulati a lot, so I mimicked him at the audition—and I really enjoyed it.”That one day shifted his direction. “From that moment, I decided to pursue acting.

Interestingly, my friend quit, and I continued. I feel like he was sent into my life for that reason.”He also credits his late uncle for shaping his journey. “My uncle Dhoom Singh supported me the most. He gave me confidence and belief. I miss him a lot, and I give him full credit for where I am today.”Looking ahead, Avinn admits he feels both nervous and excited. “It’s just the beginning. I have a long journey ahead, and I’m ready for it.”
