There's a new face in the Virani household, and he's already making an impression. Azhar Malik has stepped into Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Ronak Virani, son of Karan and Nandini, and his entry is bringing fresh energy to the long-running family drama.Ronak represents the newest generation of the Virani family. Karan Virani, Tulsi's son, originally had three children: Parth, Samaira, and Ronak. After Parth's demise in the show, Ronak grew up as Karan's only son, alongside his sister Samaira. He comes across as sweet, a little geeky and endearingly earnest. He's the studious type, sincere and focused on his academics, but there's more beneath the surface — years of watching his father navigate emotional turmoil within the family have quietly shaped who he's become. For Azhar, joining a show with this kind of legacy hasn't been lost on him. "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is not just a television show, it's an emotion that has lived in the hearts of audiences for years," he said. "Being a part of a show that has such an incredible legacy feels surreal, and I feel fortunate to be associated with it."He's equally drawn to the character himself. "What I really liked about Ronak is that he comes across as a very sweet, simple, and geeky boy.
He is sincere, academically driven, and has an innocence that instantly makes you connect with him. At the same time, he has grown up watching his father go through immense struggles, and those experiences have shaped him in many ways," Azhar explained. "There is a lot that makes Ronak interesting, and I think audiences will enjoy discovering his journey.
"The actor also had words of gratitude for the show's creators.
"I am grateful to the makers for trusting me with this role. The response I've received since entering the show has been overwhelming, and I hope viewers continue to shower Ronak with the same love they have always given to the Virani family. I'm excited for everyone to be a part of this journey."Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 reccently took a 10 year leap and Smirti Irani's character was seen returning from Jail. The season 2 of the show, marked Smriti's comeback to acting and television and brought back the popular jodi of Tulsi and Mihir (played by Amar Upadhayay).
