Bail petitions must reveal past cases, says AP high courtVijayawada: The AP high court issued a notification, making it mandatory to disclose past criminal history, if any, in bail petitions. The high court standing orders, 2004, have been revised accordingly.
The high court also made it mandatory to disclose whether a similar petition was filed before the Supreme Court or not, and the bail orders, if obtained, in past cases. The high court clarified that petitions with all the details specified only be taken to the bench for hearing.-Raj Kesireddy moves quash petition in liquor caseThe AP high court on Thursday directed the crime investigation department (CID) to submit details pertaining to the alleged liquor transport scam case. Raj Kesireddy, one of the accused in the case, moved the high court seeking to quash the case against him.
Further hearing on the petition has been posted to July 9.--HC allows Avinash to visit USAThe high court on Thursday directed the Guntur court to return the passport of Devineni Avinash, allowing his petition filed seeking permission to travel to the USA from July 3 to 12. The high court directed Avinash to appear before the investigating officer on July 13. The high court further directed him to submit his travel schedule to the trial court. Avinash was an accused in the case registered over the attack on the TDP office during the YSRCP regime, and the trial court ordered him to deposit his passport while granting him bail.
