The Kerala government has declared a two-day public holiday in connection with Bakrid( Eid al-Adha). All public sector undertakings, educational institutions (including professional colleges) and institutions coming under the Negotiable Instruments Act in Kerala will have holidays on May 27 and 28.

The government had declared holiday for Bakrid on May 27. However, as Bakrid is celebrated in the State on May 28, the government decided to extend the holiday.
