BArch provisional meril list out; mock choice filling begins

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) on Tuesday released the provisional merit list for first-year Bachelor of Architecture ( BArch) admissions for the 2026-27 academic year and initiated the mock choice-filling round.

The registration process ended on June 20. The mock choice-filling will remain open till 11.59pm on July 5. Students can modify their choices during this period, after which the entries will be automatically locked. The results of this round will be declared on July 7. Candidates can check their status using their login credentials.This year, of the 1,190 candidates who confirmed their admissions by paying fees, 1,115 are on the merit list.

Last year, 1,128 students had registered, of whom 1,064 were on the merit list.As many as 875 merit-listed students are from Gujarat and include those from HSC science and diploma engineering streams. Admissions will be granted based on the eligibility criteria set by the Council of Architecture (CoA), which include performance in HSC science or diploma engineering along with NATA-2025/2026 and or JEE (main) 2026 Paper 2 scores.

The merit list includes 739 students from general and EWS categories, 160 from SEBC, 162 from SC, and 29 from ST categories. Board-wise distribution shows a mix of candidates from GSEB, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, other boards, and diploma engineering backgrounds.A total of 760 seats across 20 institutes will be filled through ACPC, including grant-in-aid, centres of excellence, and self-financed institutions.
