Actors Barun Sobti, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhishek Banerjee are set to headline Sudip Sharma’s next Netflix series, according to a report. The show is already filming in Mumbai and brings together three of India’s biggest streaming stars in a rare on-screen collaboration.

Variety India has reported that Netflix is aiming for an early 2026 premiere. The outlet added that the plot and key details are being kept secret. Still, the report offered a clear signal about the creative direction. Sources told the portal the project would be a complete departure from Sharma’s previous work.

They also said “the script is reportedly powerful enough to unite three of the most sought-after performers in India’s streaming space.

”Sharma is known for grounded, gritty storytelling. His work includes films such as ‘NH10,’ ‘Udta Punjab,’ and ‘Sonchiriya,’ along with acclaimed series like ‘Paatal Lok’ and ‘Kohrra.’ Over the years, he has built a reputation for stories that explore social divides, regional cultures, and crime networks, often with sharp character writing.

The new series also serves as a reunion with familiar faces. Sharma previously collaborated with Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee on Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Paatal Lok.’ Barun Sobti led two seasons of Sharma’s Netflix series ‘Kohrra.’ With those past partnerships, expectations are high even as the makers keep the story under wraps.
