Basketball tournament begins

Times News NetworkKanpur: Around 100 teams are participating in 3 X 3 Basketball tournament which commenced here at Guru Har Rai School, Koyla Nagar, on Monday. Management member, Sardar Manmohan Singh, chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the tournament while Sardar Jasbir Singh, management member, attended the ceremony as the guest of honour.

International basketball player Poonam Chaturvedi was the special guest. Principal of the host school Monica Gupta was also present. The results opening day league: (Boys) – Team Alpha Hunters beat Mercy Memorial School by 8-2, CSJMU sub jrbeat DJ Wale Babu by 12-2, Alpha Hunters bt Mother Teresa by 9-0, JNS Hoopers beat Chintels mini by 7-5, SAF beat Alpha Furious by 5-3, Queen Hunters beat Bench Mates by 9-5 and New York beat Boons by 14-7..
