BDL delivers the first indigenous wire-guided heavyweight torpedo to NSTL

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a premier defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has achieved a milestone in indigenous defence manufacturing with the delivery of production-grade Wire Guided Heavy Weight Torpedo (WGHWT) to DRDO’s Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) at its Visakhapatnam unit on Thursday. BDL, as the Development-cum-Production Partner partnered with NSTL for the purpose.

Distinguished Scientist and director general (NS&M) R.V. Hara Prasad, BDL chairman and managing director Commodore A. Madhavarao (retired) and director NSTL L.Abraham Varughese were present.
