Some students were allegedly beaten and subjected to ragging by their seniors at the Government Doon Medical College in Dehradun. A detailed enquiry is being conducted by the anti-ragging committee into the allegations, the college management said.
Strict action will be taken against the students who are found guilty, Dr Geeta Jain, Principal, Government Doon Medical College said. The Discipline Committee of the medical college has recorded statements of the students involved in the incident and said that indiscipline will not be tolerated.
According to the management, students who are found guilty by the anti-ragging committee may face suspension from the college.
