In a significant move for the Bengali music industry, a new partnership is set to take the region’s music, artists and stories to audiences far beyond linguistic and geographical boundaries.
The collaboration between Warner Music India and SVF Entertainment aims to accelerate the growth of Bengali music by combining global reach with deep regional expertise.The alliance brings together an international network and one of Eastern India’s entertainment companies, which has shaped Bengali popular culture for over three decades through films, television, music and digital content.Speaking about the collaboration, Jay Mehta, said Bengal has long been home to some of India’s most enduring cultural movements and that the partnership would help create new pathways for Bengali artists and soundtracks to reach listeners worldwide.Mahendra Soni, co-founder and director of the productioun house, said the partnership comes at a time when regional music is increasingly transcending linguistic and geographical barriers. He added that the collaboration would open up new opportunities for Bengali artists and repertoire while continuing to support the creative community behind them.The move marks another step in the growing global recognition of India’s regional music ecosystems and positions Bengali music for a wider international audience.
