Minister for IT, Industries and Legislative Affairs D. Sridhar Babu on Tuesday said that all development works at the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal would be completed by the end of the year.
Responding to a question raised by MLC Pochampalli Srinivas Reddy during Question Hour in the Legislative Council, the Minister said that Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha and Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had conducted several review meetings, visited the temple, and provided guidance to officials on the works.
Mr. Sridhar Babu said the State government was committed to restoring the historic and spiritual significance of the temple. He assured that all works, including mada streets, construction of a compound wall, gardening, and creation of public amenities, would be completed without shortcomings.
“We will ensure that all works are taken up on a fast track and completed as promised,” he said.
The Minister also pointed out that the previous government had issued Government Orders (GOs) allocating ₹30 crore under the Bhadrakali temple master plan, but the funds were not released, leaving the plan unimplemented.
“Now, we have allocated the necessary funds and are committed to the temple’s development,” he added.
