Bhambri-Goransson pair reaches Indian Wells quarterfinals

India’s leading doubles player Yuki Bhambri and his partner Goran Göransson progressed to the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles event at the Indian Wells Masters after securing a straight-sets victory over the duo of Sander Arends and Jirí Lehecka.The Indo-Swedish pair delivered a composed performance in the pre-quarterfinal clash, winning 6-4, 6-4 in a match that lasted one hour and 14 minutes. Bhambri and Göransson did not face a single break point during the encounter and managed to break their opponents’ serve twice.

Maintaining control for most of the contest, they secured a crucial break in each set to close out the match in straight sets.Bhambri and Göransson will next face Alexander Erler of Austria and Andrea Vavassori of Italy in the quarterfinals of the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
