Bhavnagar–Mumbai Direct Flights Resume from March 29; IndiGo to Operate Two Daily Services

Bhavnagar: There is some good news for the industries, entrepreneurs and general public in the coastal town of Bhavnagar. Following the efforts of Union Minister Nimuben Bambhania, direct flights from Bhavnagar to Mumbai, which were shut down a long time ago, are all set to resume from March 29.

Considering the demands and feelings of the local people, Union Minister Nimuben Bambhania has made a representation to the Union Civil Aviation Minister. Direct flights from Bhavnagar to Mumbai will resume from March 29, bookings have already started from February 25 and that the minister has appealed the citizens and industries to take advantage.

With the completion of the period of the UDAN scheme in Bhavnagar city, the closed air services are going to resume, under which Bhavnagar will regain direct air connectivity with Mumbai. Bhavnagar MP and Union Minister of State Smt. Nimu Ben Bambhania made intensive efforts to ensure smooth air facilities for Bhavnagar, which has resulted in this success.

The Minister made a personal presentation to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, K.R. Naidu, held phased meetings with the Union Minister of State, Civil Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol and with various airlines.

Following the positive attitude and guidelines of the Central Government, IndiGo Airlines has decided to start two daily flights (ATR aircraft) between Bhavnagar and Navi Mumbai from 29 March 2026, for which ticket booking will start from 25 February. Bhavnagar to Navi Mumbai will depart at 8.35 am and 8.50 pm.

As part of the government’s commitment to modern transport facilities under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the launch of this service will give a new impetus to the business and industry of Bhavnagar and will also facilitate connectivity with other cities of the country through Mumbai.

For this important achievement, Nimuben Bambhania has expressed her gratitude to Union Minister  K.R. Naidu and Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol.
