Bhooth Bangla unveils eerie poster of Akshay Kumar defying gravity beside a giant bat, amid misty woods and gothic mansion. Reunites him with Priyadarshan after 14 years; stars Paresh Rawal, Tabu, late Asrani. Vedic-inspired horror-comedy hits theaters April 10, 2026.
The makers of ‘Bhooth Bangla’ officially released a fresh promotional poster amid rising excitement for one of the year's biggest film reunions. The movie hits theaters nationwide on April 10, 2026.
It marks the much-awaited comeback of the powerhouse actor-director pair Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ first look blends horror-comedy
The new poster shows the lead actor hanging from a bent tree branch, like he's floating against gravity. A large fruit bat hangs next to him. Kumar's face mixes fun and scary feelings, showing it's a horror-comedy movie. A big old house with bright windows, foggy forest, and a big full moon create a spooky setting for a classic ghost story.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ revives Kumar-Priyadarshan magic
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan keep sparking massive buzz in the industry with their teamwork.
Following their 2010 film ‘Khatta Meetha’, the pair returns after a 14-year break. Their hits include comedy gems like ‘Hera Pheri’ (2000), ‘Garam Masala’ (2005), and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007), plus many more in Indian comedy. ‘Bhooth Bangla’ revives their signature chaotic, character-packed humor and joins the ongoing horror-comedy trend dominating Indian box offices.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ assembles comedy dream team
‘Bhooth Bangla’ also stars comedy experts Paresh Rawal and
Rajpal Yadav
, and Tabu, who returned big in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ movies. They bring back the funny team from Priyadarshan's old hits. Other actors include
Jisshu Sengupta
, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Bhooth Bangla includes a last role for the late great Asrani, who often worked with Priyadarshan and finished his parts before his death in 2025.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ mixes myths with key locations
Priyadarshan directs a script inspired by ancient Vedic texts, weaving in Indian mythology and black magic. The shoot features Jaipur's Chomu Palace ('Bhool Bhulaiyaa's location), plus Mumbai and Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. Produced by Kumar's Cape of Good Films and Shobha & Ektaa R. Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, it releases April 10, 2026, shifted forward from May for the ideal box-office slot.
