Bhopal ranked India’s 2nd cleanest city among 10L+ population; Ahmedabad tops, Lucknow 3rd

BHOPAL: In the latest Swachh Survekshan rankings for cities with a population over 10 lakh, Bhopal was declared the second cleanest city in India. Ahmedabad claimed the top position, while Lucknow made a remarkable leap to third place.The awards were presented by the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday. Representing Bhopal, the accolade was received by the Madhya Pradesh urban development minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, and BMC Commissioner Harendra Narayan.This recognition highlights Bhopal’s sustained efforts in urban sanitation, waste management, and public engagement.
