Bhopal: The govt will host the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal in 2027, CM Mohan Yadav announced on Saturday, adding that PM Narendra Modi will be invited to inaugurate the event.Yadav made the announcement at the ‘Sashakt Udyami, Samriddh Madhya Pradesh’ summit held at Ravindra Bhavan on World MSME Day, where he also transferred nearly Rs 1,500 crore in financial assistance to MSMEs, startups and large industries through a single-click system.The disbursement included Rs 225.19 crore for MSME units, around Rs 39 lakh for startups and Rs 1,274 crore for large industries under the state’s Investment Promotion Scheme.The CM highlighted the contribution of the MSME sector, saying MP has around 25 lakh MSME units, providing employment to nearly 1.5 crore people. He said MSMEs are playing a crucial role in economic growth and public welfare.He said Madhya Pradesh is the only state to have cleared all pending investment assistance dues payable to entrepreneurs up to May 2026.The CM said investment projects worth Rs 9,300 crore have already started taking shape in the state after GIS 2025. He added that investors from countries including Canada, the UK, the US, Japan, China and South Korea are showing interest in sectors such as agriculture, food processing and medical devices.Yadav said 18 new policies and regulatory reforms introduced in the last two years have boosted industrial growth.

He also highlighted progress under the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) initiative, with Madhya Pradesh receiving 20 GI tags during 2025-26.Announcing that 2027 will be observed as “Youth Year” in the state, Yadav said more than 4.41 lakh MSME units were being managed by women entrepreneurs, with women’s participation in the sector rising significantly.The CM said the state has developed 16 industrial clusters, while 14 more are under development. He added that district-specific revenue models will be prepared to promote industries based on the unique strengths of each district.
