Bidar contractor alleges misuse of Ram mandir donation

Bidar: A donation box theft case linked to the Ram Mandir has taken a Karnataka turn after Deepak, former gram panchayat president of Chondori village in Aurad taluk, filed a complaint with the Uttar Pradesh SIT.

In a complaint addressed to SIT chief Vijay Vishwas Pant, Deepak alleged that BJP MLA Prabhu Chauhan and RSS leader Gopal collected donations in the name of the Ram Mandir and received Rs 5 lakh each from contractors.

He claimed that no documentation or receipts were issued for the donations. Deepak further alleged that the money collected was invested in real estate and said records of the transactions exist. He stated that he is willing to submit the documents before the SIT. According to the complaint, crores of rupees were collected from contractors in Aurad taluk in the name of the Ram Mandir. Deepak alleged that the funds were not transferred to the Ram Mandir Trust. He said he had submitted the complaint to the SIT through both speed post and email and sought a detailed investigation into the matter. When contacted by TOI for a response, Aurad BJP MLA Prabhu Chauhan did not answer the call.
