Popular music composer and singer Amaal Mallik recently opened about his school-time crush on actress Shraddha Kapoor. He revealed that Shraddha was his senior in school, and even back then he admired her a lot.

He even recalls her having dentures in school but says that it was her simple nature and honesty that made her stand out.In a recent episode of Bigg Boss, Amaal said, “School main bhi… Dentures pehen ke aati thi, meri senior thi… Meri school ki crush thi, aur insaan bhi itni sweetheart. Poore internet pe sabse asli following uss ladki ki hai bina kuch kiye. Na koi nakli followers na kuch." He even recreated one of Shraddha’s funny Instagram dance videos during the episode, showing how she enjoys being her real self on social media.Amaal further highlighted that Shraddha is among the top actresses in the industry today and has one of the biggest followings on Instagram. Talking about her role in Stree 2, he recalled the moment when Shraddha’s character makes a strong entry and said, “Uska ek scene hai where she arrives and the hair, choti se maarti hai sabko… Taaliyan hai theatres main." He also added that Shraddha’s image completely changed after her performance in Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2, where she played the innocent Aarohi.

Since Amaal Mallik’s entry into Bigg Boss 19, he has been grabbing attention everywhere. Fans were surprised to see him on the reality show, as many did not expect a music director of his stature to take part. Even Salman Khan, during the Bigg Boss premiere, expressed his surprise at Amaal’s decision. In response, Amaal said that his main reason to join the show was to connect with his audience and let them know who he really is.Amaal admitted that people have often “misunderstood” him. He explained, “I think that happened because I found success a bit too early. When you get that kind of success at 24, suddenly… I think I’ve mellowed down with age, slowed my pace a bit. So, I thought, why not use this show to connect with all the people who have shown me love for the past 10 years? They know the music, but maybe not the person behind it. I want them to meet the real Amaal — not the one whose words or tweets accidentally turned into headlines.
