Director and Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 winner Akhil Marar is set to contest in the Rajya Sabha elections 2026. As per the reports, he will be contesting from the Thrikkakkara constituency as a candidate of Twenty20. Making the announcement official, Akhil has also penned a note on his social media account."The sight of so many people in pain and the helplessness of standing by, unable to do anything for them... When I tried to intervene, the responses were filled with arrogance: 'Who do you think you are?'" Yet, the fulfillment I felt when speaking up for a silenced people was profound. These were the many reasons I chose to enter politics.
