They were also the first Indian drag queen to represent the country in a U.S.
state-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).“For the first time in Telugu reality television, drag artistry and LGBTQ+ identities are being showcased on such a prominent platform. My participation is not just a personal achievement; it is a breakthrough moment that opens discussions around gender, art, and inclusivity in Telugu households,” Patruni shared about her entry in Agnipariksha.
Beyond their role as a performer, Patruni is also a biological parent, further challenging stereotypes and pushing boundaries around queer identity and family structures.
