The Bihar Swastha Vibhag State Health Society (Bihar SHSB) has officially declared the result for the Ophthalmic Assistant Recruitment 2025. The recruitment exam, conducted on 20 December 2025, aimed to fill 220 vacancies for Ophthalmic Assistants across government health facilities in Bihar.
Thousands of candidates applied online between 14 August and 28 August 2025, with age eligibility ranging from 21 to 37 years for general male candidates and higher limits for reserved categories. Candidates who appeared for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) can now check their results on the official SHSB portal using their roll number, registration number, or date of birth. The recruitment notification was released in August 2025, inviting candidates with a 10+2/I.Sc. qualification with Biology or Mathematics, along with a 2-year diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant/Optometry or equivalent government-recognized training. The online application fee ranged from ₹125 for reserved candidates to ₹500 for general candidates. Age relaxation was applicable as per government rules, with SC/ST candidates allowed up to 42 years.
Admit cards were made available on 11 December 2025, and the answer key was released earlier on 26 December 2025, allowing candidates to calculate tentative scores before the final result.
