A shocking incident from Bettiah, Bihar, has stirred public outrage after a woman in Narkatiaganj’s Shikarpur police station area allegedly abandoned her five children and fled with her lover, taking only her youngest daughter along.

Upon learning of the incident, the woman’s husband returned to the village from Punjab and is now demanding the recovery of his wife and daughter from the police. The distraught husband explained that he had been working hard in Punjab to support his family, only to have his world upended by a phone call informing him that his wife had run away with one Tooman Ansari, a young man from the same village.

According to the husband’s statement to the police, his wife had been in contact with Tooman Ansari for a considerable time. The couple’s daughter confirmed to her father over the phone that her mother left with Tooman Ansari on a bike, taking her youngest sister along.

Despite his efforts to search for his wife and daughter upon returning to the village, the husband was unable to locate them. He alleged that Tooman Ansari and his family conspired to kidnap his wife by luring her away.

The incident, which ended his 20-year marriage, has left the husband devastated. He now sits at the police station with his children, pleading for justice. The Shikarpur police have begun investigating the matter and have formed a team to search for the missing woman and her daughter.

This incident is part of a troubling trend, with several recent cases involving married women engaging in extramarital affairs. For instance, in Jamui district, an aunt left her husband and daughter to marry her nephew, an incident that also went viral on social media.
