Bikethon 2025 cycle rally taken out in Varanasi to raise public awareness about health, hygiene, and environmental conservation

VARANASI: A cycle rally was organised on Sunday at Shaheed Udyan, Sigra, aimed at increasing awareness among the residents of Kashi about health, hygiene, and environmental conservation.

Under the guidance of Deputy Inspector General Manoj Kumar Sharma, NDRF rescue personnel participated enthusiastically in large numbers.Sharma told the rescue personnel that one of the objectives of this rally is to encourage the people of Kashi to use bicycles more instead of motor vehicles, in order to control pollution in the city and bring about positive changes in people's health.The 'Bikethon 2025' cycle rally was flagged off by the district magistrate, Satyendra Kumar, in the presence of Varanasi Police Commissioner, Mohit Agarwal. The rally covered a distance of five kilometres and concluded back at Sigra. In addition to NDRF, the event saw participation from the district administration, non-governmental organisations, and students from various schools.
