BJP-JD(S) too set to protest today

While the Congress leaders and workers plan to take out a Lok Bhavan Chalo protest against the Centre seeking repeal of VB-G RAM-G Act, the Opposition BJP and JD(S) too are holding a protest on Tuesday against the alleged “goonda culture” shown by Congress legislators against the Governor.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Chief Whip of the Opposition in the Legislative Council N. Ravi Kumar said the protest would be held in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue on the Vidhana Soudha premises.

He demanded action against Congress legislators B. K. Hariprasad, S. Ravi and Sharath Bacche Gowda, while accusing them of indulging in unruly behaviour against the Governor.

Describing the Congress protest against VB-G RAM-G Act as a “cover-up act” to conceal the irregularities in MGNREGA, Mr. Ravi Kumar argued, “The Congress protest is meaningless and an extravagant exercise in utter futility.
