Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday (May 26, 2026) interacted with the heads of mission from 12 countries at the party headquarters under the ongoing ‘Know BJP’ initiative.
This was Mr. Nabin’s first such engagement after assuming charge as the BJP’s president. “Representatives from Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the interaction,” a press release said.
During the meeting, Mr. Nabin shared insights into the BJP’s journey as “the world’s largest political party”. “He highlighted the party’s core ideological principles of cultural nationalism, integral humanism and ‘antyodaya’. He also underlined how the party, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has worked to translate its ideals into people-centric governance, inclusive development and democratic participation,” the statement said.
Many attendees appreciated the ‘Know BJP’ initiative and shared their personal experiences of being a part of it. They also gave several suggestions for further engagement.
The interaction was also attended by senior BJP leaders, including Vinod Tawde, national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP; K. Laxman, national president of the BJP OBC (Other Backward Classes) Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP; Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Lok Sabha MP from West Delhi; Anurag Sharma, Lok Sabha MP from Jhansi; and Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-charge of the BJP’s foreign affairs department.
