Rajeev Chandrasekhar Files Nomination

Kerala Bharatiya Janata Party President Rajeev Chandrasekhar filed his nomination as the party’s candidate from Nemom constituency for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters, Chandrasekhar said, “I am deeply grateful to the Rajasthan CM who came here and accompanied & supported me during the filing of the nomination. I am also grateful to all the hundreds and thousands of workers who have accompanied me, people of Nemom and Thiruvananthapuram, who have accompanied me today. It fills my heart with great hope, affection and reinforces the responsibilities I am planning to take on. I can promise the people that if they give me an opportunity, I will work hard to solve all the problems, I will work hard to bring development to Nemom, and I will work hard 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to make Nemom a model constituency in Keralam."

The BJP is positioning itself as a major challenger in Kerala, where the main contest has traditionally been between the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). Both alliances are focused on either retaining or regaining power in the state.
