Taking exception to the trend of senior leaders from the BJP State unit publicly lashing out at their party colleagues, the party Central leadership began the exercise of holding one-to-one talks with them.
In a recent instance, the old rivalry between Chikkaballapura MP K. Sudhakar and Yelahanka MLA S.R. Vishwanath had surfaced again with both of them publicly exchanging barbs through media statements.

What had shocked the party was a video in which former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda allegedly makes derogatory comments on party State president B.Y. Vijayendra. Even as the video went viral, Mr. Gowda had strongly denied that it was his voice and alleged that there was a smear campaign against him.
While the party State core committee had recently taken exception to the trend of party leaders publicly trading barbs and decided to put an end to it, BJP State in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agarwal on Thursday (July 9, 2026) held one-to-one talks with all the leaders.

According to sources in the party, Mr. Agarwal advised these leaders to exercise retrain in the interest of the party and focus on strengthening the party organisation.
