BLACKPINK has officially reunited after a three-year hiatus, kicking off their highly anticipated DEADLINE world tour at Goyang Stadium in Seoul on July 5, 2025. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, who had each been pursuing solo ventures, sent fans into a frenzy as they debuted a brand-new song during the concert.

Despite a strict no-phone policy at the venue, clips and videos from the show have quickly flooded social media. Most of them highlight BLACKPINK’s unmatched stage presence, stunning visuals, and crowd control. But one particular clip has unexpectedly gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

In the video, Jennie appears to be yelling at a stage crew member, seemingly demanding they tie her boots. The moment has sparked mixed reactions on Reddit. While some fans are defending her, others argue that if she was unhappy with how it was being handled, she could have just tied them herself.

BLACKPINK's Jennie's 'mean girl' behaviour caught on camera

Jennie is undeniably one of BLACKPINK’s most popular members, with a massive solo following, so naturally, no move she makes goes unnoticed. During one moment on the DEADLINE tour, her boots appeared to come loose, and she was seen calling over stage crew to help tie them. In the viral clip, Jennie seems to raise her voice at the staff as she asks for assistance, and when the attempt doesn’t go smoothly, she appears visibly frustrated and yells again.

What’s left fans more puzzled is the contrast in her demeanour; while she flashes a smile whenever the cameras are pointed at her, she reportedly drops the act and shows clear irritation when they’re not. The moment has sparked debate online, with some questioning whether it was just a stressful situation mid-performance or whether she is just a 'mean girl' who mistreats the crew during high-pressure moments.

Reddit calls out Jennie: 'That was so mean of her'

Reddit users are calling out Jennie for allegedly yelling at staff during the concert. Some say her behaviour felt rude and staged, especially with the sudden switch to smiling for the cameras.

One user wrote, "It may very well be that she was trying to yell instructions to the staff over the loud music, and it's a high-stress situation all around. But damn, watching the second time she yells at them is like a mean girl jump scare lol."

"You can tell everything you need to know about a person by how they treat people who work for them—when they forget people are looking," mentioned another.

A third added, "No seriously, why couldn’t she tie them herself? She’s not singing and just sitting there; it probably would have taken less time for her to do it herself."

"At first I was understanding; the show must go on. Maybe it is faster to have help, or maybe tying the boots herself would be too awkward or something. I wouldn't know how that works. How she snapped at the end?? Jesus," one person wrote.

"Wow, that was so mean of her... That's a stagehand, not a damn stylist; of course she doesn't know how to tie those complicated boots. Also, even if it was a stylist who messed up, it doesn't give her the right to act like this," one mentioned.
