Boat has announced its entry into the automotive technology space with the launch of the Boat Hive Dashcam Series, designed to enhance road safety and provide reliable visual evidence for drivers across the country.
The company said the devices are built to address the challenges of Indian roads, where accidents and disputes often leave drivers vulnerable without proper evidence.“Dashcams are no longer a luxury but a necessity,” said Gaurav Nayyar, CEO of boAt. “With Indian roads becoming increasingly complex, our entry into dashcams is a natural extension of our vision to build smart, meaningful tech for today’s consumers.”All models in the HIVE series feature Sony Starvis sensors, ensuring clear visibility in both low-light and high-glare conditions. The lineup includes:
- Hive Dashcam F1 (Rs 9,990): Flagship 4K Ultra HD front recording with 1080p rear, ADAS alerts, GPS logging, voice control, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Hive Dashcam M1 (Rs 4,499): 2K QHD resolution with a 140° wide-angle lens, GPS tracking, G-Sensor collision detection, and support for up to 512GB storage.
- Hive Dashcam E1 (Rs 2,499): Compact and affordable 1296p HD recording with loop recording, emergency triggers, and smartphone app support.
The dashcams are equipped with G-Sensors, motion detection, super capacitors, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering features like lane departure and collision alerts. They also support parking surveillance, ensuring protection even when vehicles are unattended.
