Body of man found in Bhojpur village

Ara: Body of one Ram Prasad (40) was found under suspicious circumstances near his neighbour’s house in Ijri Pipra village under Dhobahan police station area in Bhojpur district on Monday morning.The family members suspected foul play in the death and alleged that Prasad was killed after he attended a party at a neighbour’s house on Sunday night.“My brother had gone to attend a party at our neighbour Anil Thakur’s house around 9pm on Sunday. When family members asked him to return home, he said he was resting after the meal. Anil and his wife told us, ‘let him sleep at our house.’ However, on Monday morning, my brother’s body was found a few metres away from our home,” said Munna Prasad, the deceased’s brother.“My brother was strangled by someone after the party as his body bore injury marks,” alleged Munna.After getting information, Dhobahan SHO, Varsha Rani, along with other police personnel, rushed to the spot. “Two persons were taken into custody and their interrogation is going on. The body was sent to the Sadar Hospital, Ara, for autopsy. The exact cause of death will be known only after the arrival of the autopsy report,” the SHO said.
