Bodybuilder stabs self during heated phone call with brother in Meerut, dies

MEERUT: A 28-year-old bodybuilder from Meerut's Incholi area died due to excessive bleeding after allegedly stabbing himself during a heated phone call with his elder brother over some issue on Thursday morning.Mohd Salman, a resident of Jama Masjid locality in Lawar, got into a heated argument with his brother Imran and in a fit of rage he repeatedly stabbed his thigh with a knife, causing severe bleeding and collapsing on the spot.His wife, Ayesha, raised an alarm after finding her husband lying in a pool of blood. Family members rushed him to a hospital in Modipuram where he succumbed to his injuries.Additional SP Bajrang Prasad said, "Since the family did not want to pursue a police case, post-mortem was not conducted.

The cause of the dispute between the brothers remains unclear."Salman is survived by his wife and two children. He was the fifth of six brothers. Salman ran a poultry farm in Lawar and was known locally for his passion for bodybuilding, regularly sharing fitness videos on social media. He also participated in bodybuilding competitions and won prizes.
