It's that time of the year when festive cheer brings with it an overload of sweets and indulgent treats, making it easy to slip out of healthy routines. But if you're looking for a little fitness inspiration amid the celebrations, celebrity fitness trainer Anshuka Parwani has you covered.
Known for training some of Bollywood’s fittest stars like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, Anshuka shares the go-to workout routines her A-list clients swear by. From calming yoga flows to intense strength sessions, here’s a peek into how your favourite actors stay in shape — even when the season tempts them otherwise.
Kareena Kapoor Khan doing Chakrasana and Rakul Preet Singh doing the inverted exercise
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Renowned for her iconic dance numbers and enviable fitness, Kareena Kapoor Khan swears by yoga to stay in shape.
According to Anshuka Parwani, Kareena’s go-to pose is Chakrasana — the wheel pose. “She loves the strength it demands and the challenge it offers,” says Anshuka. “The vitality it brings aligns beautifully with her energy.”
Rakul Preet Singh
“Rakul is a fan of inversions,” reveals Anshuka. Her favourite? A headstand-inspired pose performed using a fly-fit hammock — an aerial version of Shirshasana. “She loves the feeling of being upside down — the rush of blood, the serotonin boost, and the spinal decompression.
It completely energises her.”
Alia Bhatt
When it comes to Alia Bhatt, it's all about depth and flexibility. “Alia’s favourite asana is Urdhva Dhanurasana, a deep backbend,” shares Anshuka. “She enjoys poses that open up the chest and create a sense of release. It’s challenging but grounding, just like the way she approaches her craft.”
Deepika Padukone doing Viparita Karani

Whether it’s the grace of Nagada Sang Dhol or the glam of Lovely, Deepika Padukone brings strength and poise to every performance — and to her workouts. “She’s drawn to strong poses but also deeply enjoys Viparita Karani — legs up the wall pose,” says Anshuka. “It’s restorative and calming, and she’s even shared her love for it on social media.”
