NEW DELHI: Tension gripped parts of city on Tuesday morning after St. Thomas School in Dwarka and St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University received bomb threats via email, the Delhi Police said.Soon after receiving the alerts, authorities swung into action. The Delhi Police Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Fire Brigade, and Special Staff teams rushed to both locations.
As a precautionary measure, both institutions were immediately evacuated, ensuring the safety of students, staff, and faculty.“So far, the police have not found anything suspicious at either place. The threat was given through mail, "Delhi Police added.Despite an extensive search operation at both sites, no suspicious items or devices were found as of the latest update. However, teams remained stationed at the locations to rule out any possibility of danger.The Delhi Police has also begun tracing the source of the email and is expected to file a case under relevant sections of the law related to public safety and hoax threats.(With inputs from ANI)
