Both Vande Bharat Express trains in Kerala to get 20 coaches each

The Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Vande Bharat Express services (20631/20632) will have four more coaches from September 9.

The Railway Board has approved the permanent augmentation of four coaches to the train. Thus, the train will have 18 AC Chair Cars and two AC Executive Chair Car Coaches. (total 20 coaches), says a release issued by Southern Railway.

The permanent augmentation has been introduced to cater to the growing demand from commuters. With this addition of coaches, both the Vande Bharat Express services that operate in Kerala - train number 20633/20634 Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express and Train No. 20631/20632 Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Central Vande Bharat Express will operate with 20 coach rakes, from October 1 and from September 9, respectively, the release says.
