Boulder crashes into house, no injuries

Vasco: A boulder rolled down a hill and crashed into a house at Vollant, Vasco, on Tuesday morning, damaging the kitchen but causing no injuries.The incident occurred around 8am when the boulder dislodged from a cliff and smashed through the rear wall of the house owned by Pramodini Naik.

Family members were inside the house at the time.

Former Mormugao Municipal Council chairperson Nandadeep Raut, who visited the site, urged the authorities to provide immediate relief to the affected family and take measures to prevent further landslides.Raut said residents of the Mundvel area, located at the foot of a hill, have long expressed concern over landslides during the monsoon.
