The Denver Broncos have long been linked to Taysom Hill, the do-it-all weapon who rose to prominence under Sean Payton with the New Orleans Saints. Though Hill has stayed in New Orleans until now, multiple reports suggest he may be on the chopping block this offseason.Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay believes that if Hill is cut, every NFL team should be interested.
The Saints would save $10 million in cap space, and Hill’s reduced role makes his release a realistic possibility.
Denver Broncos Potentially Reuniting Taysom Hill With Sean Payton Is Risky
David Latham of Last Word on Sports believes a Payton-Hill reunion would benefit both parties.“Nobody loves Taysom Hill more than Sean Payton, so it only makes sense these two reunite away from the Saints,” Latham noted. “Payton brought the Broncos to the playoffs despite starting rookie Bo Nix and having limited weapons outside of Courtland Sutton.
Free-agent tight end Evan Engram will lead the passing game, but the team could use someone like Hill to be the TE2 and add an extra dimension as a trick play threat.
