Brother kills sibling in head blow after family dispute in Indore

INDORE: A routine family dispute turned fatal in Indore’s Banganga area on Wednesday morning when a man allegedly killed his own brother by striking him on the head during an argument inside their house.The deceased was identified as Sandeep Dharam, a resident of Baba Yadav Ki Badi Gali.According to police, Sandeep and his brothers, all daily wage labourers, got into a heated argument over an issue that is still being verified. During the altercation, one of the brothers allegedly attacked Sandeep, leaving him critically injured.Another brother rushed the injured man to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.Banganga police station in-charge Siyaram Gurjar said preliminary investigation suggests the dispute was confined to the family and escalated suddenly into violence. Police have learnt that the three brothers were habitual alcohol consumers and lived with their mother.Following the incident, police detained both the brothers accused of the assault and the brother who took Sandeep to the hospital for questioning. Investigators are recording statements and examining the circumstances that led to the fatal assault before initiating further legal action.
