Members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a walkout from the Telangana Legislative Assembly during the presentation of the State Budget on Friday alleging that the government had failed to fulfil its promises.

Even as Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was reading out the Budget details, the legislators shouted slogans of “budget bogus”, “Tulam Bangaram bogus”, “two lakh jobs bogus,” and “five guarantees are bogus,” accusing the government of failing to deliver on key assurances made to people. They also tore the budget papers and threw them in the air.

In a symbolic protest, the BRS MLAs walked out of the House wearing flowers tucked behind their ears, signifying that the government was trying to 'deceive' the public.

Following the walkout, they staged a dharna at the entrance of the Assembly, continuing their protest and raising slogans against what they described as a “deceptive budget”.
