It will play a crucial role in inspecting various construction projects, including those under the Namami Gange initiative. “With this lab, we will be able to deliver quality work,” Parashar said. The announcement was made during a three-day “Mission Project Completion” programme organised by Buidco to ensure timely completion of urban development projects. The initiative aims to assess the actual on-ground progress of all basic infrastructure projects being implemented across urban areas of Bihar and resolve challenges delaying their execution. The workshop was formally inaugurated by principal secretary of the urban development and housing department Vinay Kumar and Buidco managing director Parashar, along with other senior officials. Addressing the participants, Kumar emphasised the objective of the workshop is not limited to mere review but to identify and resolve practical difficulties being faced at the ground level.
The principal secretary described urban infrastructure development as both a major challenge and a significant responsibility. He urged engineers to continuously update their knowledge and skills. Kumar instructed officials to carefully study detailed project reports (DPRs), bid documents and related papers thoroughly to avoid any complications later. He also directed them to ensure proper land verification before starting any project and to clear all files, particularly those related to payments, within the stipulated time.Kumar warned strict action would be taken against any officer found negligent in discharging their duties.Parashar briefed the participants about the corporation’s working style and stressed the need to maintain complete transparency in all processes — from agency selection and work allotment to final completion. “Under “Mission Project Completion”, Buidco is executing several key projects across the state, including water supply schemes, storm water drainage systems, road construction, Chief minister’s Urban Comprehensive Scheme and AMRUT projects,” he said.In the first phase of the mission, a team led by the managing director visited all districts to inspect actual progress and prepared detailed reports. The workshop represents the second phase, bringing together officers from all districts.Senior officers, including project directors, deputy project directors, Namami Gange officials and headquarters staff from all 38 districts, participated in the workshop.
