C.N.R. Rao’s birthday celebrated in Dharwad

The 93rd birthday of scientist C.N.R. Rao was celebrated meaningfully recently at At Mind Wave Edu Hub in Dharwad. Scientist Shivakumar spoke on Rao’s achievements and invaluable contribution to the field of science. With 88 honorary degrees from various universities across the globe, Rao brought a unique status to India in the field of science, he said. He called upon students to understand the three different roles of scientist, technologist and engineer. A special documentary featuring Rao’s life and achievements was screened and an exhibition depicting his achievements was organised. Educational director of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Trust G.M. Ganachari and others were present.
