Union Home Minister Amit Shah lashed out at the Communist Party of India (Marxist), saying it prioritised cadre welfare over Kerala’s development, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chose Viksit Keralam (developed Kerala) over cadre.
“BJP and CPI(M) are both cadre-based parties, but there’s a major difference between the two. Cadre welfare is bigger than the state’s development in Kerala while it is Viksit Keralam above cadre for BJP," he said during a public event in Thiruvananthapuram.
Shah inaugurated the head office of the BJP’s Kerala unit in Thiruvananthapuram, where the state unit president Rajeev Chandrasekhar was also present.
