The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagirigutta, located in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, has received international recognition, with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney conveying his appreciation in a special message.
The praise was delivered during the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam, held recently at the EY Centre in Ottawa, Canada.
The event was attended by several members of the Hindu community and temple devotees. An official letter from the Canadian Prime Minister, addressed to the temple authorities, was received on Sunday.
In his message, Carney acknowledged the significant contribution of Hindu Canadians to Canada’s rich cultural diversity. He described the Mahotsavam as a celebration of sacred tradition, spiritual joy, and shared community values.
He further thanked the temple organisers and volunteers for their dedicated efforts in uniting devotees and fostering a sense of belonging. Carney also appreciated the role of the Hindu community in promoting inclusiveness and strengthening Canadian society.
Telangana’s Endowments Minister Konda Surekha welcomed the international recognition, expressing happiness that the temple and its services had been honoured on a global platform.
Temple Executive Officer Venkata Rao also responded with gratitude, saying the recognition reflected the temple’s growing spiritual influence and the commitment of its devotees both in India and abroad.
