Cannabis seized incineration: 575 kilograms of seized cannabis incinerated in Lohardaga; NCB emphasizes commitment to drug disposal procedures

Ranchi: The incineration of a total of 575 kilograms of seized cannabis was carried out at M/s Medicare Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd. Lohardaga on Wednesday in accordance with the NDPS Act, 1985 and relevant rules, informed the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday.

The drugs were seized in connection with two cases, it said. The bureau stated that the disposal was witnessed by authorized officials and documented for further court proceedings. The drug disposal committee member and zonal director NCB Ravi Shankar Joshi, NCB superintendent S Sharique Omar and SP Lohardga Sadique Anwar Rizvi were present.
