Alcaraz celebrated his win by pulling on a bee suit and dancing alongside fans, in a playful nod to the bee incident during his game against Alexander Zverev back in the year 2024.

Carlos Alcaraz.
Carlos Alcaraz moved into the semifinal of the Indian Wells with his win over Brit Cameron Norrie in the quarterfinal of the men’s singles event in California on Friday.
Alcaraz romped to a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Norrie and commemorated the win by celebrating alongside fans who were dressed up in bee costumes. Alcaraz himself wet on to pull on the costume and dance with the fans, in a playful nod to the bee incident during his game against Alexander Zverev back in the year 2024, when a swarm of bees forced the game to be pushed.
“So I had to do it for them. They were cheering since the first point until the last on," Alcaraz said following the triumph.
“It’s funny. Especially here in Indian Wells. It was the first time that I saw something like this on a tennis court."
The Bee Boys, who have followed suit from Jannik Sinner’s Carota boys trope have been a real delight at the ongoing ATP event in the USA, as they grabbed the spotlight yet again.
Alcaraz will face Russian Daniil Medvedev next, who extended his ATP winning streak to eight matches with a 6-1, 7-5 win against defending champion Jack Draper. Sinner powered past Learner Tien 6-1, 6-2 to set up a semi-final against fourth-ranked Alexander Zverev, who defeated Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-3.
Sinner kept his bid for a first Indian Wells title on track with a straightforward victory over 20-year-old American Tien. Sinner capitalized on a double fault from Tien for a break in the second game and cruised from there, breaking Tien four times and saving all four break points he faced.
Zverev, became just the fifth player to reach the semi-finals of all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, as he reached the Indian Wells semi-finals for the first time with a similarly comfortable victory over France’s Fils.
