CAT 2025 registration begins from August 1

The registration for this year’s (2025) Common Admission Test (CAT), the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate management programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top-tier business schools in India, will commence on August 1.

IIM Kozhikode has been designated as the coordinating institute for the conduct of CAT 2025. The registration process will remain open till 5 p.m. on September 13, according to a press release issued on Wednesday (July 30, 2025).

The exam will be held on November 30, in three sessions across 170 cities. Candidates will be allowed to choose five preferred cities while registering. The CAT Centre will assign a test centre in one of the preferred cities chosen by the candidate, the release said.

However, in cases of high demand in specific regions, the CAT Centre reserves the right to allot a centre in a nearby location among the preferred choices. Once a centre is allotted, no changes will be permitted. The list of test cities is subject to change at the discretion of the CAT authorities.

The only official website for CAT 2025 is https://iimcat.ac.in. No other website is authorised to conduct or provide information about CAT 2025, it said.
