At least four people were killed and two others were injured after an LPG tanker caught fire near a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. The accident occurred on the morning of June 26 when the tanker, travelling from Kanpur to Varanasi, allegedly lost control, crashed into a divider and leaked gas before erupting into a massive fire. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the speeding tanker hitting the divider moments before flames engulfed the area. The driver, Dharmendra Dwivedi of Mirzapur, was trapped inside the cabin and died at the scene. Five toll plaza employees also suffered severe burn injuries and were admitted to Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital in Prayagraj. While one employee died the following day, two more victims later succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll to four.
